Carla Parcianello

Carla Parcianello (IT based in Belgium) is a dance artist. She has an urban dance background, embracing performative-oriented style such as Waacking and footwork-based styles like UK Jazz Fusion and House Dance. She also studied rudiments of contemporary dance and physical theatre. During the years, she has been and still active in the ''urban dance battle'' community, winning prizes in international dance festivals. After moving to Belgium in 2022, she continued developing her movement research by deconstructing her urban dance background into an abstract language, with which she expanded into theatre and performance art. Nowadays, her interest into choreography brought her to start off the creation of her first solo work, ‘Capricciosa’, which has recently received support from Mestizo Arts Platform and Ballet Du Nord CCN & Vous!. Moreover, she is also part of the french company ‘Cie Nassangar’, specialized in creating Waacking theatre pieces.
