Jenneke Slaets

Jenneke Slaets

Jenneke Slaets (she/her) is a Brussels based dancer and performance maker. At an early age, she developed her skills at De! Kunsthumaniora in Antwerp where she graduated in 2014. After this course, Jenneke moved to Leeds (UK) to complete a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance. In 2018, Jenneke danced in Le Massacre du Tympan, a collaboration between La Verita Dance Company and Conservatorium of Mechelen. She completed her Master’s degree in Theatre and Film Studies at the University of Antwerp in 2020. During Covid, in 2020, Jenneke was part of the second edition of Platform In De Maak and shared previous work during The Festival That Never Happened. From 2021 until 2023, as part of a Master in Dance at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, she conducted research on the embodiment of time, entropy and audience participation. Alongside these studies, Jenneke is eager to continue to develop further her artistry and deepen her knowledge as a dancer, maker, dramaturg, and teacher in performing arts.
