Platform In De Maak and its festival are for, by and with new makers, but I am not a maker in the classic sense of the word. I do create my own projects within the performing arts, but I primarily want to work behind the scenes. Platform In De Maak wants to bring people in different positions, ranging from performer to technician or dramaturge, together in a safe, stimulating environment and thus facilitate collaboration. Naturally, we also want to offer new makers an audience and visibility through the Platform, but first and foremost, collaboration is central. In a field where mutual competition is often noticeable, we try to focus on networking. In this way we all become new makers, working towards something together.
